A huge fundraising and campaign kick-off event was held in honor of Fayetteville attorney Billy Richardson, candidate for NC Senate, District 19 on Monday evening, June 9, 2014.
Nearly 300 people, including special honored guest, former governor Jim Hunt, and hosted by Minority Leader Senator Dan Blue and former Senator Tony Rand, attended a summertime gala that could be called as much "fun-raiser" as fundraiser.
A comparison of Billy's position on hiring lobbyists in 1992, and his recently submitted "Letter to the Editor" (to the The Fayetteville Observer) demonstrates that Billy remains firm in his position to serve the people of the 19th District.
He expects to earn his salary, rather than spend tax money on lobbyists.
